Before submitting your device for service, warranty claims, device swaps, or returns, it is important to disable Find My on your iPhone or iPad.

If Find My is still enabled, we will be unable to perform service on the device. It may also affect our ability to handle warranty claims, device swaps, and returns.

Disable Find My before submitting a device for:

Device swaps

• Service requests

• Returns

• Devices that cannot be started or powered on

Method 1 (via iPhone/iPad)

If you have access to the device, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Find My
  4. Tap Find My iPhone or Find My iPad
  5. Turn off Find My iPhone or Find My iPad
  6. Enter your Apple Account password
  7. Tap Turn Off to confirm

Method 2 (via iCloud)

If you do not have access to your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to https://www.icloud.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple Account and password.
  3. Open Find Devices
  4. Select the device you want to remove from your account.
  5. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to erase the device.
  6. Once the process is complete, click Remove from Account.
  7. Verify that the device no longer appears under All Devices.

If your device is not working or cannot be powered on:

  1. Go to https://www.icloud.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple Account and password.
  3. If prompted to enter a verification code, select Find Devices from the available options.
  4. Select the device you want to remove.
  5. Click Remove from Account.
  6. Verify that the device has been removed from your Apple Account.

When the device is removed from your Apple Account, Activation Lock is disabled, which allows Team8 to process your service request, device swap, or return.
